Coming to DXM 2024 in San Antonio to Speak About Digital Thread and Transformation

I’m excited to share that I will be joining DXM 2024 in San Antonio, organized by Market Key. The journey of this conference, which now counts more than a decade of conferences focusing on a variety of topics related to product development and product innovation in the world of PLM events.

What sets this event apart is its clear customer focus, differentiating it from traditional vendor-driven events. DXM 2024 isn’t just another industry gathering—it’s a place where genuine insights, real-world solutions, and customer challenges take center stage.

The event offers a mix of presentations, roundtables, and a very efficient mixer between participants in the exhibition session. It is a great place to meet companies of various sizes, You can see the list of participants – navigate here and the agenda for the event.

Key Topics at DXM 2024 Event

I liked the list of topics for this year’s conference. It is a mix of customer presentations, analysts review, practitioner presentations, and panel discussions. Here’s a quick review of what you’ll discover:

Digital Thread and Digital Twins

These topics will explore the real business value of digital twins and the digital thread, helping you gain clarity on strategy and offering a roadmap to begin implementing these transformative technologies. It’s an opportunity to understand the key enablers necessary to leverage this cutting-edge innovation. Digital Thread and Twin are gaining interest from many companies these days because they offer a practical path for manufacturing companies to transform their operations and engineering practices.

Data Interoperability

Connecting data and systems across the value stream is a significant challenge for many organizations. Data interoperability issues have been focused on PLM developers for many years. This topic will highlight the critical success factors in platform implementation and show you how to enable strategies that set the foundation for the future. What makes it really interesting these days is the focus on how modern technologies can change the trajectory of interoperability in the industry with cloud solutions, REST API, and other data standardization activities.

Model-Based Transformation

You’ll learn what it means to build a model-based enterprise and how to ensure it drives real efficiency across your business. With practical insights, this track is aimed at helping companies implement transformative models that deliver results. Model-based is an interesting word and I’m curious to learn more about real-world examples and practices.

Digital Transformation

A broader topic I was posting a lot in my blog recently. Balancing agile methodologies with structured project management is crucial for achieving successful digital transformation. But most importantly to connect digital transformation with practical fixing of problems that are urgent, repeatable, and painful. This track offers practical advice for managing organizational change, a key component in any transformative effort.

My Session and Panel Discussion at DXM 2024

I’m thrilled to be attending DXM 2024, where I’ll be sharing my experiences and insights in both a dedicated session and a panel discussion. My presentation, titled “Expanding Digital Footprints to Drive Higher Levels of Operational Efficiency”, will focus on how companies can harness the power of connected data to support integration across business systems and enhance operational efficiency.

Here are some key takeaways from my session:

  • Digital threads can connect isolated data, fostering collaboration, faster information retrieval, and better decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Digital footprints offer real-time insights into product history, improving quality control, speeding up issue resolution, and optimizing asset performance.
  • By connecting data across departments, systems, and the supply chain, digital threads can streamline workflows, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-value.

Additionally, I’m honored to be joining the Panel Discussion: Overcoming Complexity in a Modern Manufacturing World alongside Guillermo Villa, Director of Product Lifecycle Management at Johnson & Johnson. As complexity is one of my favorite topics, I look forward to engaging in a rich discussion about how modern manufacturing environments can overcome the intricate challenges they face.

Conclusion

Meeting people is the most important motivation factor for me. The greatest value of an event like DXM 2024 is the opportunity to connect with customers and peers and have meaningful conversations that go beyond the typical marketing narratives seen at vendor-centric events. I’m looking forward to seeing you in beautiful San Antonio next month. Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t miss out on the chance to join the conversation! Best,
Oleg
