Introducing OpenBOM Labs: A Sneak Peek at Enhanced Filtering Capabilities

At OpenBOM we believe in innovation and customer feedback. The biggest dream for us is to combine our OpenBOM vision with the specific requirements and needs of our customers.

We believe that the key to continuous improvement lies in actively seeking and incorporating customer feedback. To elevate this process, we’re excited to introduce our next approach: OpenBOM Labs. This initiative is more than just a feature; it’s our way of bringing you into the heart of our development process.

What is OpenBOM Labs?

OpenBOM Labs is our latest approach to enhancing user experience through collaborative innovation. It serves as a platform where OpenBOM users and customers get early access to our newest features. This “preview mode” allows a select group of users to test, experience, and provide feedback on our latest innovations before we roll them out to our broader user base. It’s a unique opportunity to shape the future of OpenBOM together.

Enhanced Filtering in Labs

The first feature we’re thrilled to unveil under OpenBOM Labs is our improved filtering capabilities. This enhancement is not just an upgrade; it’s a significant improvement in how you interact with data within OpenBOM.

Here’s what’s new:

Multiple Column Filtering

Gone are the days of limited, single-column filtering. Our new feature allows you to apply filters across multiple columns simultaneously, providing a more dynamic and comprehensive view of your data.

Advanced Filtering Conditions

To further refine your data manipulation capabilities, we’ve introduced advanced filtering conditions. This means you can now apply more complex criteria to your searches. For instance, you can effortlessly filter “all parts” from a Vendor = A with Quantity on Hand less than 10, making it easier to identify and fill gaps in your data.

And here is a simple result:

Demo Video

Once you enable Labs features for your account, you can get and enable a specific feature in your OpenBOM account. We’ve prepared a video preview demonstrating the power of these new filtering capabilities.

Conclusion: Your Feedback Drives Our Innovation

As we embark on this exciting journey with OpenBOM Labs, your insights and feedback are more valuable than ever. We hope that these new filtering capabilities not only enhance your experience but also inspire you to share your thoughts with us. Your input is the fuel that drives our innovation engine.

Tell us what you think about OpenBOM Labs and the new filtering features. Your feedback is not just welcomed; it’s essential. Stay tuned for more updates from OpenBOM Labs, where your ideas meet our innovation. Let’s build a smarter, more efficient future together.
